Sugar Plum Elements and Traditions

Okay so today you get the elements for my Sugar Plum kit but first I want to talk about Holiday Traditions. I think holiday traditions are what make the holidays so special to me. Growing up we had several holiday taditions. One of my favorites was gathering with our extended family each year to make candy. The last time I was with my family in Utah for the traditional candy making day was about 7 or 8 years ago. We had 4 generations in the house at the same time though only 3 generations were making the candy (the 4th was too young to help then). My grandmother, my aunts and all my female cousins worked together to create enough candy to stock a candy store. We made English Toffee, Peanut Brittle, Peanut Butter Cups, Almond Roca, Mock Andes Mints, Divinity, Caramels, Turtles, Fondant, Idlehour Chocolate Balls, See's Fudge, Sugared Nuts, and Krazy Krunch. Each family went home with a huge shoebox of candy.

Since I live away from the rest of my family now, I have started doing this on my own. I have invited my Mother in law, my sisters in law and a friend to join us the last few years and it has been so much fun to share this tradition with all of them.

Now, I would love to hear about other people's Holiday Traditions. Just pick a favorite, take a second to leave it hear in my comments, then download the elements for Sugar Plum. I hope you enjoy them.

Freebie expired. Now available for Purchase in my shop at OneSingleSeed.

Thank you for the kit. 4shared wasn't letting me make a comment but I wanted toshare one of our traditions my mom started. Christmas Eve we would get one present to open. It was always the same..some sort of Christmas pajamas. My mom always wanted us to have color coordinated photos for the morning so with that gift, it was all arranged. I do it with my family no too.
